Activism
Since abandoning a hunting and gathering lifestyle, we have lived in a world progressively more and more under the control governments and corporations. Rarely do the goals of such institutions benefit individuals directly. We are taught what to think, what to buy, what to want, and how to live, all so that our labor, our eyeballs, and our cash can benefit our sometimes invisible masters. This terrible trajectory, away from compassion and frugality and humility and towards technology, instant gratification, and the destruction of nature, must be reversed as soon as possible if we and the planet are to survive. Please enjoy my books, newsletter, and classes, all of which address this important subject.
